The bell screws on very smooth!  We decided to put money into this horn and get work done to it because it has good compression and the horn is a very good player.  I recently did a valve compression test on the horn and all of the valves had compression readings between 1.0 - 2.0  This would be a very nice horn for any horn player looking to upgrade to a very nice playing horn!  Overall the horn is in good condition.  There are some scratches, dings, and other signs of character.  I do not see any signs of any major previous dent work.  The bell looks lovely and has a very nice sound.   The lead pipe has a slight bend but it does not affect the playability of the horn.
