Up for your consideration is a very a Conn Elkhart 6D 400K Series that is in very good condition.  This horn was made in Elkhart Indiana in 1954!  THIS HORN HAS A SUPER NICE FINISH! The brass made during this time was special.  Most of the lacquer has worn off and the horn has developed the most beautiful natural dark patina you will ever see.  This horn is really special!   The horn has very good valve compression readings with each valve have compression readings between 0.8 -2.0  The lead pipe looks amazing!  The Bell looks great!  The inside tubing and slides look like they are in very good condition.  Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition.  Not only does this horn look amazing:  THIS HORN IS A PLAYER.  The horn is very easy to play and has an amazing sound.  All of the braces are secure, all of the tuning slides pull freely, and the valves are super fast, quiet, and responsive with excellent compression.  You cannot buy a new Conn 6D that can match the workmanship of Elkhart Conn Factory workers.  The horn comes with a Conn case with 3 functioning latches.  The serial number is posted for your review.  Priced to sell at $3,950.00 with Free Postage in the Lower 48 States.  I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely. I offer a 10 day no fuss return policy that is outlined below. Please read the return policy before making a purchase.

All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn; provided the horn is returned in its original condition.   If you are ever in the Chicagoland area, please schedule and appointment to come out and test play over 50 used double French Horns!
