Conn 8D 1961 Elkhart 900K Series Double French Horn (Free Postage Lower 48 States)

Up For Your Consideration Is A Very Nice Elkhart Indiana 900K Series Double French Horn. I believe this horn was produced in 1961 based on the serial number.   The horn is completely original with the exception of the bell flare which was replaced when the Alexander ring was installed.  The bell Flare is in very good condition and is from a King Eroica.   The bell is very nice!   The first thing I noted when I purchased this horn was how nice the valves functioned. The valves on this horn are fast, quiet, and responsive with good compression!   I tested the valve compression on this horn and all of the valves had valve compression readings between 1.0 - 2.0  This has been one of the favorite Conn 8D's out of all the Conn 8D's I have for sale;  according to people who have come out to test play French Horns recently.   THIS HORN IS A PLAYER!  There are some minor dings, dents, scratches, and other signs of character.  Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition.  The horn recently came out of the shop and was given an inspection.  All of the braces are secure, all of the tuning slides move freely, and the valves are fast and responsive with good compression.   The horn comes with a fixed bell case with 3 functioning latches.  We do carry detachable bell cases for sale if you would like to upgrade your case!  Priced to sell at $3,550.00 with free postage in the Lower 48 States.  I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely.  I offer a 10 day no fuss return policy that is outlined below. All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn; provided the horn is returned in its original condition.
