Up For Your Consideration Is a Conn 8D Double French Horn.  This is an Eastlake Ohio Conn 8D.  This horn has near perfect compression and is a really good player!   I tested the valve compression, and all the valves had compression readings between 0.0 - 0.2 The lacquer has been removed from the horn, and the horn was given a very light brushed finish.  You can still see the Conn 8D engraving on the Bell Flare very nicely!  There are a couple of dings, surface wear, and other minor imperfections.  The bell has a couple of dings and scratches.  The lead pipe is in good condition with a small ding.  The horn does not show any signs of major previous dent work.  None of these minor imperfections affect the playability of this horn.  The horn plays very well and would be approved by any band director or music teacher!  Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition.  The horn recently came out of the shop and was given an inspection; all of the braces are secure, all of the tuning slides pull freely, the valve caps turn freely, and the valves are fast, quiet, and responsive with excellent compression. THIS HORN IS A PLAYER!   The horn was given an ultrasonic cleaning in August of 2026! Serial number posted for your review. The horn comes with a Protec zipper case that is in fair condition.  Priced to sell at $2,550 with Free Postage in the Lower 48 States. I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely.  I offer a 10 day no fuss return policy that is outlined below. All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn; provided the horn is returned in its original condition.
