Up For Your Consideration Is A Very Nice Elkhart Indiana H Series Double French Horn. The horn has the original finish on it and it looks lovely! There are some minor dings, surface scratches, and other signs of character, but nothing that affects the playability of this instrument. THIS HORN IS A PLAYER! Someone inscribed some numbers on the horn as illustrated on the pictures. There has been some dent work done to the bell and throat at one time. It is possible that someone applied a very small dot of solder on the inside of the bell at one time. Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. The horn was given and inspection and all of the braces are secure, the tuning slides move freely, and the valves are quiet, fast, and responsive. This horn has very good compression. I did a valve reading and the valves had compression readings between 0.8 - 2.5. Seldom do you see an Elkhart in this condition. This is a wonderful French Horn with a very lovely sound.
