Up for your consideration is a Conn 8D Elkhart Indiana N Series Double French Horn that is absolutely lovely!  This horn is one of seven Elkhart Conn 8D's that I recently picked up on consignment.   The previous owner of the horn collection had the horns serviced by Paul Navarro and Chuck Ward over the years.  This particular horn is equipped with a Lawson Lead Pipe!  This horn does not show signs of any previous major dent work.  The Tail and Bell Flare on this horn is Solid!    The Finish on the horn is original and looks wonderful for the horns age!  Overall, the finish on the horn is very respectable and limited to surface wear.  There are some minor, dings, dents, surface scratches & wear; and other signs of character.  Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition.   The tail looks amazing with a very nice Conn Elkhart Bell engraving!  The inside tubing is in good condition.  The original lead pipe has been replaced with a Lawson Lead Pipe.   This is a very nice horn with a lovely sound!  This horn recently came out of the shop and was given an inspection;  All of the braces are secure, all of the tuning slides and valves caps move freely, and the valves are fast, quiet, and responsive with like good compression.   I did a valve compression reading on the valves and all of the valves had readings between 1.0 - 2.0.  The serial number is posted for your review.  The horn comes with a case with 3 functioning latches.  This horn not only looks amazing for its age!  THIS HORN IS A PLAYER!   If you are ever in the Chicagoland area, please schedule a visit to come out and test play some horns;  I currently have over 10 Elkhart 8D's for sale.    Priced to sell at $4,950 with free postage in the lower 48 States. I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely. All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn; provided the horn is returned in its original condition.
