Up for your consideration is a Conn 8D Double French Horn. This L series was made in Elkhart Indiana.  THIS HORN IS ALL ORIGINAL ELKHART INDIANA! The lacquer is original and looks good! The most notable imperfection on this horn is signs of previous dent work on the bell throat just around the bell brace. The bell is solid in this area with no soft spots. This beautiful original L Series is fine "as is" or would be a great candidate for a bell cut. There are some, dings, dents, and other signs of character!  The bell looks great and sounds wonderful!  The lead pipe is in very good condition.  Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition.  All of the braces are secure, all of the tuning slides and valves caps move freely, and the valves are fast, quiet, and responsive with good compression.  I did a valve compression reading on all the valves; all of the valves had compression readings 3.0 and lower. The valves on this horn are very smooth. quiet, and responsive.!  The serial number is posted for your review. The horn comes with a fixed bell case with 3 functioning latches.  Priced to sell at $3,950 with free postage in the lower 48 States. I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely. I offer a 10 day no fuss return policy that is outlined below. All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn; provided the horn is returned in its original condition.
