Up for your consideration is a Conn 8D Elkhart Indiana N Series Double French Horn that is absolutely lovely!  This horn has near perfect valve compression with valve compression readings between 0.0 - 0.4!  The valves are fast, super quiet, and responsive with like new valve compression.  You do not see Elkhart N Series like this one very often! The Finish on the horn is original and looks wonderful!  There are some minor, dings, dents, surface scratches & wear; and other signs of character.  Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition.  The bell is solid!  The tail looks amazing with a very nice Conn Elkhart Bell engraving!  The inside tubing is in super good condition.  The bell has been cut with an Alexander ring set and screws on very smooth.  The original lead pipe is in very good condition.  This horn recently came out of the shop and was given an inspection;  All of the braces are secure, all of the tuning slides and valves caps move freely, and the valves are fast, quiet, and responsive with like new compression. The serial number is posted for your review. The horn comes with a fixed bell case with 3 functioning latches.  I do have screw bell cases sold separately if you would like to upgrade the case.  The previous owner had unmatched pride of ownership, maintained the horn very well, and had the horn professional serviced during the life of the instrument.   Priced to sell at $5,550 with free postage in the lower 48 States. I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely. I offer a 10 day no fuss return policy that is outlined below. All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn; provided the horn is returned in its original condition.
