Up For Your Consideration Is A Very Nice Holton Farkas H177 Nickel Silver Double French Horn. The serial number is posted for your review. I believe the horn was made in 1970. The previous owner did a wonderful job of taking care of this gorgeous Double French Horn. The finish is original and looks marvelous. There are some minor surface scratches on the horn. I do not see any signs of previous dent work on this horn. This horn is in near mint condition. The bell Flare looks great and the lead pipe looks great as well! I recently took this horn into O'Malley Brass in Chicago to have the valves reseated. The valves are now super quiet with great compression. The valves have valve compression readings between 1-2 on all of the valves. The horn was also given an ultrasonic cleaning in February of 2025. The horn has new bumpers and was re-strung. The horn does come with a case that has seen better days. On a positive note, all 3 latches function properly. This horn is a fantastic player. The horn has a beautiful Holton sound that you would expect from a horn made during a great era in horn making. I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely. I offer a 10 day no fuss return policy that is outlined below. All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn back provided the horn is returned in its original condition.
