Up For Your Consideration Is A Holton H179 Nickel Silver Double French Horn. This would be a very nice horn for any horn player looking to upgrade to a very nice playing horn! THE COMPRESSION ON THIS HORN IS VERY GOOD! I recently did a compression reading and all of the valves were below 0.4! This horn has the Block Letter engraving on the bell and was made during the Prime years of Holton Farkas Horns! The serial number suggest the horn was made in 1979. This horn has the original finish and is limited to some minor surface wear, scratches, dings, and other signs of character. There are 2 dings on the inside tubing that I capture with pictures. The pictures make the dents worse than they are. The dents do not affect the playability of the instruments. THIS HORN IS A PLAYER!I do not see any signs of previous dent work. The bell looks lovely and has a very nice sound. The lead pipe is in great condition! Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. The horn was recently given an inspection, and all of the tuning slides move freely, all of the valve caps turn freely, and the valves have very good compression! The horn comes with a case that has 3 functioning latches. Serial number posted for your review. YOUR BAND DIRECTOR OR HORN TEACHER WILL DEFINATLEY APPROVE THIS HORN! All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal.
