Through my many years of restoring Double French Horns, I have realized how frustrating it is for horn players to get their lead pipe replaced at a good price.  I am fortunate that I am able to work with one of the most brilliant musical instruments parts suppliers in the world.  I call my lead pipes "Windy Pipes" because they are proudly made in the Windy City.   I do not put the "Windy Pipes" engraving on the lead pipe because I do not believe stamping my engraving on a lead pipe someone else made would justify charging a customer a higher price for a bent piece of metal.  Your average price for a lead pipe is $30-60 dollars per inch of tubing!  I CAN BUY A LONG F BRANCH ON A DAMN GEYER HORN FOR 10 DOLLARS AN INCH!  WHAT GIVES? I can assure you that the lead pipes I am providing are brand new custom lead pipes made in Chicago IL. USA; and the guy who is producing them has an amazing shop with some of the most talented and coolest workers on the planet!   I have been telling people for years, "you have to check out Miles O'Malley on YouTube.

Bringing the Classic King, Conn Holton, Reynolds, and Yamaha horns back to their glory days is something any person can accomplish!  Getting work done to a good playing used horn is a very responsible decision, and oftentimes economical.  Besides, older horns were made much better; and are definitely worth putting money into.  I believe there needs to be more options for players to improve the sound of their French Horn when it pertains to replacing that ugly lead pipe.  Lead pipes are gross!  Believe me, your horn most likely needs an ultrasonic cleaning! You wouldn’t believe the things I have seen come out of a lead pipe.  Not only is an old lead pipe a cesspool for disease, but the lead pipe also takes a lot of abuse.  An ugly lead pipe is an eyesore.  An ugly lead pipe is often a reason for a horn not performing like it should.  Don't get me started on red rot! You should definitely consider having your lead pipe replaced at the Boredhorns repair shop with a new custom Windy Pipes Lead pipe that is proudly made in Chicago, USA!

If you are not happy with your new lead pipe for any reason, you can send the horn back to us and we will re-install your original lead pipe and pay for the return shipping.  Windy Pipes lead pipes are amazing and you will not be disappointed in your decision to replace your lead pipe with Boredhorns Repair.  Please take advantage of our add on dent package in which we remove dents from the Bell Flare to the handguard for $100 Dollars

Thank you for considering having your lead pipe replaced with a Windy Pipe!
