King (Lorenzo Sansone) Silver 5 valve Bb Single French Horn (Free Postage Lower 48 States)
Up For Your Consideration Is a King 5 valve Bb Single French Horn which was modeled after a horn made by Lorenzo Sansone. The original five-valve horn by Lorenzo Sansone was invented in 1914 to solve certain problems he saw in the standard double horn. To a three valve B♭ horn he added a fourth valve effective to provide the fundamental and harmonics of the F horn. A fifth valve not only provides an E horn and an A horn (according to its slide adjustment) but also makes hand muting easy on the B♭ horn since it provides the necessary 3/4 tone lowering. Sansone established his own shop at 1658 Broadway in New York in 1925 advertising it as The Worlds Largest French Horn House. but only began producing this model himself in 1954. This particular horn that is for sale was made by King. The horn is in very good shape. A new duckfoot was recently installed on the horn. The horn does not show any signs of major dent work. The finish on the horn is in very good condition. The bell and lead pipe look great. The inside tubing is in very good shape. The slides look wonderful. Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. The horn recently came out of the shop and was given an inspection. All of the braces !re secure, all of the tuning slides and valves caps move freely, and the valves are fast, quiet, and responsive. The horn plays very nicely and is fun to play. I posted the serial number for your inspection. The horn comes with a case that has seen better days. This would be a fun horn to add to your collection! All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal. Payment will be refunded within 1 day of receiving the horn; provided the horn is returned in its original condition.
