Up For your consideration is a Lawson Nickel Silver Double French Horn with Nickel Bronze Bell!   Never in my 10 years of selling French Horns have I ever felt so much pressure writing an item description for a French Horn. Often times potential buyers will ask me for the provenance of the horns I am selling. I do my best to give my customers the often cool stories associated with a horn, but never have I had a task of trying to describe the provenance of a Lawson Horn. Please accept my apologies in advance for not being able to describe the passion that went into every Lawson horn that was ever produced. I encourage any potential buyers to join the Facebook group "Horn People" and look for the recent post that shares many wonderful stories about Walter Lawson and the Lawson Family.

I recently picked up this horn on consignment from a very nice person I met at IHS. If you have never picked up a Lawson, you will never know how special Lawson horns truly are. Lawson horns are a beast! Lawson horns are heavy and built with precision and passion. Everything on this horn was made by hand except for the screws. I was told this horn was made before the Fourier model and that is more rare. I was also told that the Nickel Silver Lawson horns were also more rare. I am currently waiting on some more information and will be sure to update the listings once I can clarify which model number the horn actually is. The horn has some substantial lacquer wear throughout the horn. There are some small dents, dings, surface scratches, and other signs of character. Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. I have the serial number posted for your review. The horn comes with a fixed bell case with 3 functioning latches. The bell Flare is made of Nickel Bronze. The lead pipe looks great. The inside tubing is in very good condition. The valves are fast and responsive with good compression. THIS HORN IS A PLAYER! This horn was played by many people at IHS and the response from everyone was always the same. Players had a hard time putting this horn down and told me how easy it was to play and how impressed they were with how it played. This is a great horn and is priced to sell at $6550 with Free postage in the USA. I do offer free postage, but charge $25 dollars for the box, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts necessary to ship the horn safely. I offer a 10 day no fuss return policy that is outlined below. Please read the return policy before making a purchase.

All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked.
