Wunderlich Chicago Rotary/Piston Valve Double French Horn (Free Postage Lower 48 States)

Up For Your Consideration is A Wunderlich Schmidt Double French Horn that was made in Chicago Illinois.  There is a chance that this horn was made by Carl Geyer during his time at the Wunderlich company.   This could be a great horn if someone is looking for a project that would be worth the while!  The bell and Tale on this horn still have a lot of metal left and this horn would be a great candidate for a full restoration. This horn recently came out of the shop and was given an inspection. All of the tuning slides pull freely, all of the braces are secure, and the valves are fast and responsive. The compression is not bad but realistically someone might consider getting the valves re-plated along with a new lead pipe. The horn is playable but would need a valve job to get this horn back to its glory days.  A new valve job is going to cost around $1500 dollars and you will have a very awesome French Horn!  The horn does have some minor dings, dents, surface scratches, and other signs of character. Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. You can still see the Wunderlich Chicago engraving very nicely.  This horn had the lacquer removed and was given a very light brushed finish.  The horn does come with a case that has seen better days.   I could not find a serial number anywhere. All Double French Horn purchases come with a 10 day No-Fuss Return Policy. Buyer may return the horn within 10 days of receiving the horn with no questions asked. The horn must be postmarked and shipped within 10 days of receiving the horn to initiate the return process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges. I do not charge a re-stocking fee for returns if you pay by check or cash. I also offer a 5% cash discount if you buy the horn in person. I do charge a 3.5% re-stocking fee if you pay with a credit card or PayPal. Credit card companies and PayPal do not refund payment processing fees. Buyer would be responsible for a 3.5% restocking fee in the case of a return if the payment is made with a Credit Card or PayPal.
