Wunderlich Schmidt Chicago Geyer Double French Horn (Free Shipping Lower 48 States)
Up For Your Consideration is A Wunderlich Schmidt Double French Horn that was made in Chicago Illinois. This horn was most likely made by Carl Geyer but has been modified over the years. The bell and Tale on this horn still have a lot of metal left and this horn would be a great candidate for a full restoration. This horn recently came out of the shop and was given an inspection. All of the tuning slides pull freely, all of the braces are secure, and the valves are fast and responsive. The compression is not bad but realistically someone might consider getting the valves re-plated along with a new lead pipe. I was told both the tubing and the lead pipe have been modified by a couple of different technicians who are familiar with the Wunderlich Schmidt model horn. The horn plays very nicely! The horn does have some minor dings, dents, surface scratches, and other signs of character. Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. You can still see the Wunderlich Chicago engraving! The horn does come with a Reynolds case that fits the horn rather nicely. Priced to sell at $2950 with Free Shipping in the Lower 48 States.
